I purchased this air conditioner a few months before summer in 2011. When the heat and humidity arrived, I very easily put it in an upstairs window in my three-bedroom apartment. With a admirer by the door of the bed room to press the great air out, it held my apartment cool in the course of the hottest times of the summer months. I did not see any substantial increase in my electric invoice, so it is strength effective. It is fairly quiet.
