PopUps Friend or Enemy?

You’ve made a decision that you would like to learn about something, so you do a Google search. You then select one of the results that Google offers and click on it. Then you receive an unhappy surprise when the page loads. Instead of finding the page that is supposed to have the content you need, you are forced to deal with a pop up. The pop-up is an annoying advertisement and no matter how many times you try to close it, it won't go away--unless you give it your e-mail address. Eventually you simply shut down your browser totally because you get so agitated. The web page operator has won!

So many people really really can't stand pop ups and they have a good reason to feel that way. They're aggravating. They intrude on the net use. The versions that play audio might find yourself getting you in trouble with your boss (or someone else in the room). They make outrageous pledges. They require that you enter in private information into them if you want them to close. Sometimes they'll put in cookies or other malware on your computer. There are very few individuals who really enjoy being confronted by these frustrating things and yet, so many Internet Marketers use them. Why is this?

The sad truth is that IMers continue using pop up banner ads because they actually work. They get the interest of the audience. They allow them to generate e-mail promoting lists. It continues to be proven again and again that a pop up ad will produce more opt ins than an opt in box placed in a sidebar or in the body of a web page. They occasionally even result in direct sales. Unfortunately, these stupid web pests actually get the job done and, until somebody thinks of something better, most IMers are going to keep using them. How To Create Profitable Adsense Sites

Of course, that doesn’t imply that most Internet Marketers should continue to use them. What is the true benefit of an e-mail address that you have only picked up through force? Most of the time that person will choose to opt out of your list once they get their first e-mail. How great can page viewers be when most of it clicks away because it is upset by your ad? Sure you need to generate profits, but is this really the best way? There needs to be a better solution for someone who aspires to make and build an e-mail list to help them sell things.

The simple fact is simply this: if you have a good item, you aren't going to need a pop up if you can present that product well. Work hard at setting up a good product so that you won't have to deal with the frustrating pop ups to do your job for you. Write your sales and splash pages in a persuasive tone. Make your subject material and copy so powerful that it can grab your reader's attention so hard that it never has to let go. Here's the truth: Internet Marketers only locate success and money online if the product that has been created is actually valuable. No pop up banner ad will ever have the capacity to change the true value of a product.
