I was undecided between Honda and Yamaha but after looking at several reviews on numerous community forums, which includes Amazon but largely camping message boards, I made the decision on this Yamaha - AND WHAT A Great Shift IT WAS! The Yamaha is mild still really durable, the controls all available on one deal with, the sounds negligible even when on complete power, it will start 1st time even after months of no use, it is only perfect for energy blackouts or camping. I have plugged my laptop, my 50" plasma TVs, fridge, hi-fi system, DVD players, whichever I could find to test it and the little device managed it all fantastically. You can practically hear it "thinking" as it adjusts the electric power desired to maintain the things operational. Quite clever. Yamaha's status for prime-good quality machines and engineering is well launched. I advise this over the Honda due to the fact of a) its design, its functions (fuel meter for instance) and merely just because it is a fine piece of engineering.
